Occupying one of the most prominent locations in the famous Greek island of Santorini, Villa Bordeaux is the result of the careful renovation of one of the most historical and emblematic buildings of Fira. This boutique hotel was designed by MplusM Architects to offer just a handful of ultra-luxury rooms that enjoy impressive views of the world-famous caldera. The design of the hotel is a departure from the all-white Cycladic aesthetic and inspired by the Venetian-built Frangomachalas area of Fira. It instills a modern approach within the traditional vocabulary. The exterior is dominated by the black volcanic rock walls, the impressive arches that define its facade, as well as the breathtaking pool which is built along the rim of the cliff. The beautiful scenery is further enhanced through the landscape design that was carried out by Helli Pangalou. Finally, located on the caldera edge and next to a stunning bar shielded by a curvilinear wooden pergola, is the new outpost of the established Moscow restaurant La Colline, which offers gourmet dishes accompanied by the mesmerizing view.
