Toshi Restaurant

This stunning western rendition of Japanese fine-dining is located in the Al Wahda Hotel of Abu Dhabi. Berios interior design team was commissioned to further develop a basic plan, transforming it into this extraordinary space, which is simultaneously welcoming and mysterious. The design was greatly influenced by the principles of Zen philosophy, which were transferred and realized into the architecture of the restaurant. The alluring atmosphere of the space was created through the use of rich materials: the rough anthracite natural stone that is extensively used in several features of the design is contrasted with the matte walnut timbers which are dominant in the flooring, ceiling, and walls.
