Heraklion Airport Intra Lounge

The complete renovation of Skyserv's new lounges at the Heraklion airport in Crete turned out as a very demanding project. Both CIP Intra and Extra lounges were finished on time, at the end of July 2018, during high tourist season, while the rest of the airport of Crete's capital city was fully operating. The two lounges were entirely re-designed with new layouts and new E/M studies. The renovation works, completely transformed the lounges with new entrances, new partitions, new ceilings, new floor tiles, new VRV air-conditioning system, new lights and new furniture, most of them especially designed for the project. Large floor tiles in shades of grey and blue, combined with the white colour of walls, ceilings and furniture, together with blue mirrors, blue chairs and blue-lighted aquariums, create the impression of an area built of sea and sky. The perfect welcome or farewell to visitors of Heraklion. The choice of these cold colours, together with the strict edges and polished surfaces add a more luxurious touch to the lounges. However, the interesting volumes generated by the use of indirect lighting in the ceilings, together with the select use of curves both in furniture and the ceiling give a more earthly playful ambiance to the areas.
