Stone House

Built on the slope of a village outside Ioannina city, at an altitude over 800 meters, with a unique panoramic view of the ever-misty lake Pamvotis, this mansion perfectly respects the traditional architecture of mountainous Epirus, meeting at the same time the demands of a fully equipped modern luxury residence. Cladded entirely by local stone, the residence extends on two floors as seen from the entrance side, maintaining the scale of the area. However, taking advantage of the slope of the plot to the side of the lake, a large semi-basement floor is created, which opens to the outdoor activities of the beautifully landscaped surroundings. The intriguing composition of different volumes on the facades, combined with the various inclinations and directions of the tile roofs, creates a delightful game of colours and shades on the stones. The particularly cold climate of the area often turns the village into a beautiful snow-covered landscape. Despite the often extreme weather conditions in winter, the residence is fully prepared to host its guests. Equipped with fireplaces, underfloor heating and VRV air-conditioning, the house is also capable of drawing power from various energy sources in the event of electricity disruptions.
