Part of a stunning two-building house complex, designed by distinguished Greek architects Kokkinou+Kourkoulas, and Helli Pangalou for its landscape, this ultra-luxury residence is located on a pine tree hill in the coastal suburb of Kavouri, on the Athenian Riviera. Being listed as one of the best built works of the years 2010-2012 by DΟΜĒS International Review of Architecture, the residences blend the modernity of minimal architecture with the typical mediterranean landscape. This is accomplished by the use of few basic materials in their purest form: bare concrete textured only by the wooden planks used to cast it, spotless white plaster, aluminum. The distinct feature of this residence is its three signature concrete frames that compose different rooms of the house. One of the most impressive features is the use of mechanical woden blinds that are able to turn and block the sunlight coming from any angle during a day; additionally they can stack on the floor to form a scenic balcony. Unique is also the use of liquid crystal glass that is used as a privacy measure in the bathrooms which turns from transparent to opaque with the flip of a switch.
