Olympia House

Located in the Northwestern Peloponnese, close to the ancient Greek city of Olympia, this traditional village house was reconstructed after a devastating wildfire reduced it to ashes. Dominated by the heavy use of the area’s dark-grey stone and beautiful fir wood, the design of the house aims to preserve the pure feeling and rugged style of the old Greek village houses that were prevalent for centuries around the area. Designed by Nikolaos Berios, one of the residence’s most impressive features is the stunning, traditional, all-wooden roof, that is visible from all main spaces of the house.
